Emma-Jane (E-J) joined the Deepend Group in mid 2013 to build an integrated agency offer created at the crossroads public relations, social media and digital communications. She founded sister agency History Will Be Kind (HWBK) in March 2014, working with clients across FMCG, Health, Travel & Tourism, Infrastructure, Technology, Not For Profit and Entertainment. 

The HWBK team are proud to have been awarded the AdNews 2017 PR Agency of the Year,  PR Agency of the Year 2016 & 2017 (Mid-Size) in the CommsCon Awards, alongside being shortlisted as Mumbrella 2017 Agency of the Year, AdNews 2016 Small Agency of the Year, B&T Awards Emerging Agency of the Year 2016 and PRIA National Awards Highly Commended Medium Consultancy of the Year 2016. 

E-J has particular skills in leading and motivating high performing teams. She has a proven track record in driving strong revenue and margin growth, developing new product and service offerings that positively impact the bottom line.

On the client side, her skills lie in developing creative and strategic campaigns to support brand re- positioning, thought leadership activities, major events and product launches. She has a passion for integrated communications, leading multi-agency groups across experiential, brand identity, social media, digital, ATL and sponsorship.

Prior to launching HWBK, E-J held the position of Managing Director Weber Shandwick Australia. She was also responsible for sister public relations company GolinHarris.

Under her leadership, the Australian business of Weber Shandwick became one of the top performers in the region, with a stellar line up of clients and a talented team of practitioners.

The agency was awarded AdNews PR agency of the year in 2009. Alongside this, client campaigns have been awarded numerous industry awards across the region.

E-J was personally recognised for her contribution, being named a finalist in the ‘Agency Head of the Year’ at the prestigious Asia Pacific Media Magazine PR Week awards in 2008/2009.
